First impressions...the food certainly was more expensive than just buying the stuff in the grocery store. I also found that I had to go to more than one place to find different things. I think after today I have a better feel for where I can get different things like the best bread, milk, fruits/veggies, etc. There is another organic butcher in Tulsa that I'd like to try out but I didn't get out to them in time today...I'll have to hit them later on this week.
I must say that the food has a much richer flavor. Also, it tastes more like it did back when I was a kid. One key example would be the wheat bread that I ate this afternoon. It tastes the way wheat bread used to taste to me as a kid which convinces me that they've been modifying the stuff in the store.
I've also noticed that I get fuller faster on smaller portions.
I'm cooking dinner tonight and I'm looking forward to getting the free range meat that I have tonight. I have a choice between the chicken and the beef...yummy.
While the food was more expensive I can't help but walk away with the feeling that I'm doing the best thing for my health by doing this. Here's to a good and healthy meal...Cheers!
