Totally Geeking...upgrade of internet/streaming cable
I just upgraded my internet network and downgraded my cable in exchange for more streaming services. I'm now paying less money per month but getting more variety in my service. I couldn't ask for more...

Why binge watching is the only acceptable way to watch tv
Merry Christmas! I have enjoyed my Christmas holiday and something that has made it particularly fun is the fact that I have been binge watching "The Walking Dead". I'm currently more than halfway through the 3rd season and enjoying the show immensely I should state.
Let me just say, thank God for Netflix and the ability to binge watch shows. Binge watching in my opinion is the only acceptable way to watch television now a days. The reason why is that it makes watching television similar to the entertainment factor of reading a book...
When you read a book (which I also enjoy doing by the way), if there is a cliffhanger at the end of a chapter you just flip the page and find out what happened to your protagonist. If you're binge watching a show you just turn on the next episode. Similarly, if you are in the middle of a particularly boring story arc you can skip forward a couple of episodes until the story picks back up much like you would skip forward a couple chapters in a book.
Personally I hate cliffhangers and waiting until the next week to find out what's going to happen on my favorite show. I'd rather see it all at once and watch on my own terms. This is why I will continue to support Netflix original programming like "House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black". I like that they release an entire season at once. I also feel like releasing shows in this manner makes them more conducive for better storytelling as it forces the writers to plot out the story arc for the season in advance as opposed to writing as you go which seems to happen on most network tv shows.
Gotta go now and find out what's happening with Rick and crew...

Google Play Music
Ok, so if you haven't figured it out yet my affections run fickle. Probably part of the reason why I'm still single by the way... So what's turning my head this week from a tech geek perspective? Google Play music.
In addition to being a gadget gal, I love music. I have to surround myself with music constantly. My iTunes library is filled with so much music that I've bought over the years. I've also been a solid Pandora subscriber for many years.
I liked Pandora because I had my stations set up and could listen to a different variety of music with new songs mixed in for hours. What I didn't like about Pandora was the stupid song skip limit. I mean heck, some days Pandora is just off and I want the ability to skip as many songs as I want.
Well today I just signed up for the free trial of Google Play Music and so far I am in love. Not only do I have access to the entire Music catalog which means that I can listen to entire albums at once (right now I'm listening to En Vogue "Funky Divas") but I can also listen to and skip as many song as I want. Another feature that I like is that I can download songs to my device for offline listening of if I'm on a flight or in an area with bad cell coverage.
It's only my first night with Google Play music, but I'm already thinking my Pandora subscription might end after this trial period...ah the feeling of a new love....

IPhone 6 vs Samsung Note 4
I have the unique situation where I have both the iPhone 6 and a Samsung Note 4. One is my personal phone, the other is my work phone so I have the unique opportunity to test both.
My opinion is the Note 4 wins against the iPhone 6 hands down. Both phones are fast and easy to navigate but the Note 4 feels like a productivity tool in addition to a phone while the iPhone 6 still just feels like a nice phone.
So far, the only feature that I really like on the iPhone 6 is the slo mo camera.

Samsung Note 4
I'm becoming a Samsung fangirl. It started with the Samsung Galaxy phone that I had at work. That was my entry level device into Samsung. While I've always preferred Android phones over the iPhone, I'd never had a phone that was so easy to use as the Galaxy.
Of course when it was time for me to upgrade my HTC phone, I opted for the Samsung Galaxy 4. Since that time I've replaced my big screen TV with a Samsung Smart TV.
Well today I just updated my Galaxy 4 phone for a Note 4, and I must say I am in love with this phone!
Now I know what you're thinking. ..you're thinking weren't you just in love with another gadget about a week ago, Khesa? To which I'd have to truthfully answer yes. What can I say, I am a tech geek...its in my blood. ..my affections are real but only for the best gadgets.
That being said, I must say that I'm impressed with this phone. It is so easy to use and fast. This phone will be another piece of the puzzle to get me to my nirvana which is maximum productivity.
I have been impressed with the Samsung products I've seen recently. I think they're stepping up their game in innovation. I may just actually be becoming a Samsung fangirl.
The post was written on my Samsung Note 4...This picture of Vinny was as well...

Allow me another Geek moment - Microsoft One Note
Ok, so let me let you in on a secret. I am a closet Tech Geek and I get geeked out on Tech and Productivity tools. Last week, I geeked out on my Surface Pro 3. This week I am geeking out on my newest discovery...MS One Note. I just started using it last week and it has revolutionized how I organize myself. It has to be one of the coolest productivity programs out there.
